About The Apartment
The Dairy Apartment is a fully furnished, well equipped self-catering holiday rental accommodation which sleeps 2.
Following extensive renovation and refurbishment during 2019 and 2020 The Dairy Apartment is now a beautifully spacious, comfortable, and relaxed base to explore the breath-taking Isles of Scilly.
Enter a lobby-cum-dining area and lounge with further access to the closed kitchen and closed bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Attention to detail has been given to all aspects of the Apartment, and elements of interest featured in each room, including artwork by local artists, and mainland friends. Our bespoke coffee table has become a real talking point. Even the proprietor has provided some of her original craftworks.
The accommodation is rented weekly Wednesday to Wednesday from March to December on a first come, first served basis. Included in the rent are water, electricity, Wi-Fi, linen, and towels.
ENTRANCE LOBBY / DINING AREA
The immediate entrance to the Apartment has been kept simple to maximise the sense of utility and space. A large coat/shoe rack is conveniently placed just inside the entrance. The dining area is uncluttered and has been furnished with a minimalist approach. The room is full of good natural light coming from the glazed door and large double-glazed window which offers a pleasant view of a neighbouring garden with an attractive granite stone wall. Whilst the accommodation sits directly on a through road, it is generally quiet and not immediately overlooked by neighbouring properties.
The cosy lounge area has a Chesterfield style 3-seater sofa – perfect for relaxing after a day’s exploration on the islands. The television has a built-in DVD player and is attached to the wall with a 360-degree angle bracket which can be positioned to face the lounge, the dining area, and the bedroom. On the TV stand is a Smart speaker (Echo Dot) with “Alexa”.
A standard lamp with integral reading lamp, and the dimmable ceiling light fitting creates a sense of relaxation. We have placed a gorgeous, bespoke coffee table in the lounge, hand crafted by our talented friend, Ian Williamson.
This good-sized, well-equipped room was existing prior to the refurbishment, but has been greatly improved and offers ample storage space, an electric single oven and hob, electrical appliances including a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and microwave oven. A washer-dryer is also housed in the kitchen. The tall cupboard houses utility items such as a clothes airer, ironing board, iron, washing basket, broom and dustpan and brush.
Generous in size, calming, and with the greatest emphasis on comfort and sound, sleep. This room was a blank space which we’ve filled with beautiful solid wood furniture, and beds of superior quality which can be made up as one king size double, or twin single options. The zip and link mattresses are made with natural fillings and have 2,000 pocket springs for full support and comfort.
Our duvets have a soft, down-like feel, and are made with a sublime combination of breathable, and hypoallergenic Microfibre and lofty Mulberry Silk to aid the most refreshing sleep. Our duvets are encased in a 100% cotton protector to offer all our guests the reassurance of freshness and hygiene.
A quartz silent motion alarm clock sits on one of the bedside cupboards.
Completely transformed and refurnished with new fixtures and fittings.
The lighted de-mister mirror cabinet houses a shaver socket, and ample storage space for toiletries.
The heated towel rail has an adjustable thermostat for control and comfort.
Our plush, intensely soft towels are of supreme quality with 750 gsm.
Changeover day is WEDNESDAY.
Access to the Apartment is from 4 p.m.
Departure time is 9.30 a.m.
We do not accept pets; however, assistance/guide dogs are welcome.
We do not take children under the age of 12 years.
Smoking, including E Cigarettes (vaping) is NOT permitted anywhere on the premises.
Lighting and burning candles is NOT permitted anywhere on or in the building.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
The Dairy Apartment currently has no outside private space, garden, or seating area, however, to the side of the building (just a few steps distance), there is a small parcel of grassed council owned land with a wooden bench which may be freely used by guests, but not exclusively.
