Access Statement

Both holiday lets are integral to the building  known as “The Dairy” -  a white utilitarian property situated at the top of the Strand, opposite the Town beach pathway which leads to the RNLI Museum/Station.  The lower half of the property is the proprietor’s residence and the storage/distribution hub of the island’s milk round.

The Dairy can be reached from Higher Strand via a flight of 7 external steps with a handrail attached to the wall of the building.

Alternatively, the building can be approached from Church Street which runs parallel with the Strand and brings you directly to both entrances without the need to use steps, however, please note the following:

The Dairy Flat has 3 carpeted INTERNAL steps with handrail leading from the entrance lobby into the main living area, after which the flat is on the level.

The Dairy Apartment has 3 concrete EXTERNAL steps with handrail leading to the entrance after which the accommodation is on the level.

Both holiday lets are clearly signed.  Most residents, off-islanders and regular returning visitors are familiar with The Dairy and if you’re lost, can offer directions to it!
